My path to Chiropractic
As a young boy growing up in Covington, LA my father became paralyzed after a severe accident. Looking for any help that we could find my father soon went from doctor to doctor hoping someone could help him.
I remember feeling angry and frustrated. Why did my dad have to get in that accident? One particular neurosurgeon however, confronted me with a reality that I was unaware of. He said, that it wasn’t the accident that caused the problem. The accident was the straw that broke the camel’s back. In reality, my father’s spine had been degenerating for years due to improper alignment of his spine. The neurosurgeon went on to tell my father and I that if he had seen a chiropractor before his accident, then he might have been able to prevent the series of problems in the accident aftermath.
My journey to become the chiropractor that my father should have seen, took me from Northlake Christian School, to Millsaps College in Jackson Mississippi. There I was a two-sport athlete, broke the school record for receiving touchdowns in a career, and was nominated for the Conerly Trophy. It is also where I met my amazing wife Morgan, who would later on share my journey to Atlanta upon graduation, to pursue my Doctorate of Chiropractic, and become a dad to five beautiful children- Addison, Konner, Loxley, Cecilia, and Killian.
My path to consulting
I’ve always been inspired by the phrase “those who can’t do, teach.” Sure, in certain context that statement holds true, but what inspired me the most throughout my years as a high school and collegiate athlete, some of the most influential and aspirational doers were teachers.
Everyone always has the answer until it doesn’t fit into their mold, and then you’re told you are the one doing it wrong- you haven’t pushed enough, you haven’t practiced enough, you haven’t marketed enough. When each person’s makeup is individual, how can we expect practice to all be the same?
I quickly learned in Chiropractic school that even though the knowledge I was gaining would be an integral part of my chiropractic makeup, I would be left with plenty of holes to fill. When I started practicing, I began looking for educators and consultants who might be able to give me the answers I needed to succeed. With each consult call and practice coaching visit, I realized how inflexible each system was, and even though there was much to learn, I quickly outgrew the system and was still left with questions. It wasn’t until I realized this, that I had my answer- we are not all the same. I set out my chiropractic career with one goal in mind- to make as big an impact to as many people as I possibly could. I set out on my coaching career to do the same. My career calling is to change lives, one practice at a time.
Consulting Director
Kayla
Meet Kayla, our Consulting Director/ super mom. Kayla was born, grew up and attended high school in Mandeville, LA. Kayla and her husband, Josh, have two kids, Elijah and Layla. During the week Kayla manages our high volume clinic, and on her down time, she enjoys being outdoors, watching her son play competitive baseball, traveling, and riding bikes.
Kayla’s 10+ years in office administration, combined with her attention to detail, hustle attitude, and perfectionist nature lead her to be an exceptional CA. No stone is ever left unturned. With her help, our office was able to implement managing practices that quickly pushed Limitless to new heights.
When I started LCC, I knew that she would be an integral piece to assist in the organization, training, and operation. She is the primary point of contact for LCC and will make sure that you and your office have everything that you need.
